Record Request terms
Effective October 21, 2026. These terms cover the Inside the Jail Record Request service, run by Any County News (ACN). By ticking the box and paying, you agree to them.
1. What you're buying
There are two Record Request services. Booking photo Record Request ($9.99): we file an official open records request for a booking record and photo. Report & Records Request ($29.99): we file your open records request and dig in to find what you asked for (incident reports, arrest reports, 911 calls, video and more). Each price is a service fee for filing and searching. It is not a purchase of the government record.
2. Timing
A booking photo request usually takes 1–3 business days, depending on the agency. If we haven't delivered within 10 business days, you get an automatic full refund unless you tell us you'd like to keep waiting. Report & Records requests depend on the agency and can take longer; we keep you updated by email.
3. Agency copy costs (Report & Records)
Some agencies charge for copies. The $29.99 does not include any agency copy cost. If there's an additional cost, we'll come back to you with the amount before going any further, and nothing more is charged unless you say yes. If you say no, we stop there.
4. Refunds
Booking photo Record Request ($9.99): you get a full refund if the agency has no record, won't release it, or wants a fee (ACN doesn't pay agency fees).
Report & Records Request ($29.99): The $29.99 covers filing and searching and is non-refundable, even if the agency has no record or won't release it. If you approve and pay an additional agency cost and we can't deliver those records, that additional amount is refunded.
Refunds go back to the original card and usually show up within 5–10 business days.
5. Delivery
We send what we get by email to the address you give us. Please make sure it's correct.
6. No guarantee a record exists
We can only get what the agency has and releases. We can't promise that a record or a booking photo exists.
7. Lawful use only
Use what you receive only for lawful purposes. Don't use it to harass, stalk, threaten or embarrass anyone. Don't use it for any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), such as screening someone for a job, housing, credit or insurance. We are not a consumer reporting agency.
8. Inside the Jail
Records we get may be added to Inside the Jail. Everyone shown is charged, not convicted, and presumed innocent. Removal from Inside the Jail is always free: request free removal.
9. Privacy
We use your information only to fill your request. We don't sell it. Square handles your card; we never see your full card number.
